Westminister Dog Show

Tomorrow is the start of the Westminister Dog Show.  Half of the group judging will be on TV tomorrow and the other half with Best in Show will be on Tuesday evening.  In Canada it will be on Discovery World.  You can also see it later in the week on Animal Planet.  Maybe some pup can fill us in as to what channels it is on in the USA??  Charlie, can you see the show on your TV?

You can also check out the Westminister Dog Show website and watch the breed judging.  Mommy and I will be checking it out!

Mommy had to subscribe to Discovery World so we can see it tomorrow.  She thinks it is worth it to see the judging live.  In past years it played live on Animal Planet and National Geographic which are stations we have but not this year.  We can cancel Discovery World next month if we decide to.

Last year the handsome affenpincher Banana Joe won best in show.  It was so exciting to see him win.  I wonder who will win this year?

Are any of you pups watching Westminister?

TV: Monday on CNBC, 8-11 p.m. ET; Tuesday on USA Network, 8-11 p.m. ET/5-8 p.m. PT

    1. We had to take Discovery World and Oasis has a package. Mommy likes some of the things on there but gets too upset sometimes and changes the channel. On Discovery World today there were peepole swimming under ice and it showed how it could collapse so Mommy got too scared and switched channels. On Oasis it showed a lion cub with a broken pelvis just crawling to try to keep up with the others. Mommy got upset because it was obvious the cub would eventually die and she thought the TV peoples should step in and save him. She switched the channel again because she was too upset. Mommy says she likes to watch happy things on TV and if she wanted to see sad things she would watch the news.

On a happier note Mommy is looking forward to all the Westminister TV shows and Internet stuff.

  4. Crikey Jelly ... No we don't get it. Mum's devastated. She's going to try the net thing. She reckons she's going over to watch one year. You do it so well over there! Much bigger and better than our efforts. Sydney Royal is our big dog show. Harri and Lucy always competed in the flyball at Sydney Royal. Hope I get there one day for something.
